About

Assalamualaikum!

I’m Aisha, founder of Quran Quest. I help ladies learn the Quran translation and tafsir so they can apply the lessons to their daily lives. I’m the head sister at our Masjid organisation (Newcastle Central Mosque)  in the North East of England and I organize the weekly Quran classes as well as the social activities for ladies and children.

Around a decade ago, I was struggling to take some proper time out to study the Quran and Islam. I had young children and I was studying for my degree. In 2010, I decided to organise a Sisters’ Study Circle at our local Masjid. This was so sisters could have a dedicated time slot and space where they could gather together to learn about Islam in a relaxed, supportive environment. Since then, I’ve dedicated my time to helping sisters learn about the Quran and Islam. I’ve taught hundreds of sisters every year in our local study circle.

I’ve also appeared a few times on the radio station Newcastle Fast FM in the month of Ramadan and a BBC Newcastle Radio interview to discuss Hajj. Our study circle was also mentioned in British parliament by the MP Chi Onwurah after she made several visits to the study circle.

My philosophy is that I believe everyone, regardless of age, can benefit from the golden lessons of the Quran and everyone can continue gaining Quranic knowledge all the time to help them improve and navigate their lives.
